Application
THERMINOL®* VP-3 can be used in both the steam and liquid phase because of its special composition. The steam phase operation is possible from an atmospheric pressure of 243 °C. The steam pressure is approx. 7 bar absolute at 330 °C.
In comparison with conventional diphenyl/diphenyl oxide mixtures it is harder to operate the steam phase even at 14 °C with THERMINOL®* VP-3 so that it is not necessary to have a vacuum system or the vacuum can be reduced. Furthermore, the pour point is slightly lower at just 3 °C.
