Application

On the basis of the composition of THERMINOL®* LT is usable in the steam an in the liquid phase. The operation in steam phase is under atmospheric pressure from 181 °C. The steam pressure is approx. 15 bar absolute at 315 °C. 
THERMINOL®* LT is suitable for heating and cooling processes. Furthermore THERMINOL®* LT offers superb viscosity at low temperatures, which enables good pumpability and a good heat transfer property at temperatures down to -73 °C. 
Compared with the “twin fluid” concept e.g. steam/brine or steam/water glycol the use of THERMINOL®* LT offers the advantage that corrosion and flush processes can be avoided.
